The Candidate must have a history of supporting the rights & safety of Public Safety Officers & Law Enforcement Support Personnel.
The Candidate must support the right of Public Safety Officers & Law Enforcement Support Personnel to organize and collectively bargain with their employer(s).
The Candidate must have a history of support for public employees.
The Candidate must be willing to meet, communicate and work with the OCPA and its representatives on legislative issues it deems important.
The Candidate must be willing to complete a written questionnaire and participate in a panel interview.
The Candidate may be evaluated, based in part, by a public records background check.
The OCPA does not get directly involved in Local County or City elections.
The OCPA only gets involved in State Senate and House of Representatives races plus other Statewide races i.e., Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General etc.
